I’m not sure if I’m more excited about booking our photographer this week or finding my dress!! Probably the dress, because it was a steal at nearly 90% off, only $200 because of the National Bridal Week sale! And, it’s not “too poofy”- FH’s one request lol. Funny enough, it was the first dress I put on at this appointment and the first thing I said to the consultant was “I can see myself walking down the aisle in this dress!” I proceeded to try on 8 more, but I didn’t need to. Now to not show FH or tell him about it for 415 days 😬!!
Hope everyone else is having a productive week! What’s your biggest accomplishment so far?

We're in the home stretch.
So... everything?
But with a month to go, I so badly want FH to see the dress, now... He's being heroic and avoiding my phone completely (I've got pix on there, and they are not hidden).

Also, yay for $200 dresses! I got mine for $200 at a sample sale!

What's up with ghost national bridal sale, anyway? I keep seeing FB as for it, but it doesn't say where or when and the ads looked sketchy so I didn't want to click on them.

Congrats! That's a beautiful dress. I picked my dress Saturday and yesterday we booked our justice of the peace! I booked my photographer a month ago. But this week has been so hectic and productive for us! We also made an appointment to see a DJ but that isnt until next week. We are 288 days away! It's going by so fast

LOVE your dress! I’m a sucker for lace detailing.

And we are 29 days away, so thankfully I crunched early and there’s not much to do besides last minute details!! My biggest accomplishment I think is the amount of organization and planning that I’ve done to make sure everything for our venue with flow well! We are getting married at a state park, so it’s essentially a DIY venue so it’s been a lot of work! But, it’s also absolutely gorgeous and the extra work has saved us SOOOOO much money!

Congrats!!! Your dress is beautiful! I love the lace! I got my dress for $200 too, but I got it brand new from another bride. She was selling my dress because she bought 2 dresses from a boutique and didn't wear mine.

Certain boutiques participate and it’s pretty much just a big sample sale. You can use the website to find participating bridal shops. We had 3 (I think) within 30 miles, but one in my hometown 😁. I don’t know how other shops do it, but the one I went to separated everything out by price point (everything was $99-699) with discontinued dresses being the lowest.

I knew I wanted lace going in, and you can’t tell but it has two layers of lace so the under lace peaks through! My entourage wanted sparkly, but the lace won me over!
We are getting married at a group campground, so I totally understand the DIY venue!! Worth all the work! We are so lucky to have beautiful state parks and national forest lands we can use!

You definitely could!! I thought about doing that, but I love my dress so much that I wanted to wear it all night. I did get a white lace jumpsuit to wear for my going away outfit, though. We're going away on FH's motorcycle so I couldn't wear my mermaid style dress on there anyways!

A motorcycle exit will be fun! Are you doing a big send off?

My FH wants to rent his dream car- an Aston Martin Vanquish- for our grand exit, but we don’t really have any send off ideas yet. I’m a little concerned about his car choice in the mountains, he already has a bit of a lead foot he doesn’t need any extra horse power!
