Wrong Cake

So....... sitting here enjoying our honeymoon and going through pictures to see that the cake delivered was not the cake we ordered. It’s the correct 3 tiered but no where near the fancy/decorated we agreed to. Of course, I never got a copy of our cake order for who knows why. I never asked?? I mean...
So....... sitting here enjoying our honeymoon and going through pictures to see that the cake delivered was not the cake we ordered. It’s the correct 3 tiered but no where near the fancy/decorated we agreed to. Of course, I never got a copy of our cake order for who knows why. I never asked?? I mean wedding is of course behind us now but my question is this.... would you reach out to the bakery and ask where the miscommunication was as far as the cake we had ordered? It’s not like they are going to make us another cake but I’m just curious how/why. And really without proof of order I really don’t have a leg to stand on. I guess the real issue is that the venue was paying $440 towards cake (For a “scaled back” version) and we paid the additional $560 to have It as the girl penciled out for us. I’m almost 99% sure We DID get the scaled back version. But why 😐

    As a cake decorator, I'd say that's a $350 cake. At best. Definitely call. Something got lost in translation somewhere. The bakery has to have an order slip to review with you. I'd absolutely ask for a partial refund.
