Writing vows

Renee, on June 1, 2019 at 4:29 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8
So we are thinking about writing our own vows and I have NO idea where to start! Any advice? What all do you include in them? What about length? I don't want one of us to have 3 sentences and the other to produce like a 500 word essay lol Seriously though, I have no idea what to say

If you are concerned about one of you writing really short vows and the other writing long vows, then talk about style and length together prior to writing them. Before writing mine, I watched videos on YouTube of weddings where the couple wrote their own vows and my fiance did the same thing. I also looked up sample vows. In my vows, I included a little bit about meeting him to when I fell in love with him, then reasons why I love him and lastly promises.

Our wedding is this Tuesday and I just wrote my vows yesterday lol. My FH and I talked about length before starting. We also discussed whether it was okay to be funny, personal, etc. I looked up ideas on Pinterest that help you outline them and then looked up some examples to help guide me so it would flow well. I wrote about 3 drafts of it before I got what I wanted.

Do a Google search for vows and use as a starting point. Make them personalized from there.
