WR: Ladies who have had a weekday or destination wedding. . .

I am just wondering because a lot of the other ladies on here can't feel my pain because they get married locally and on Saturdays (the norm). I want to hear from some women who have done the "none traditional" thing. I am getting married Thursday July 28th in Austin though FH and I reside in Dallas...

I am just wondering because a lot of the other ladies on here can't feel my pain because they get married locally and on Saturdays (the norm). I want to hear from some women who have done the "none traditional" thing. I am getting married Thursday July 28th in Austin though FH and I reside in Dallas and my family is from Arkansas lol. I have 170 people on my guest list and I don't want more than 100 people at my wedding. (75 is even better) What are the odds in your experience that 50% or less will show? I want to know some of your turn outs...I have ALL out of town guest since no one lives in Austin and I have a crazy day of the week in play (that I did on purpose since I want a small wedding and its more affordable with my vendors too). I want to hear from you ladies. . . Speak up Smiley smile

    We are doing a destination wedding at an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica. We invited 80 and that's what we budgeted for. I'm expecting half of that to show up , maybe less. I mailed SDT's in October and invites will go out in April. So it will be interesting to see what our final numbers will be.

    @ Sharonte' E., I think I am sending mine out in April too. I think I will have a June RSVP date to give me time to track down the non-responding peps and have a really clear idea on who is and is not coming. Jamaica is awesome!

    RSVP date is April 30. That will give me time track slackers as well and get an idea on numbers so I can start working on our OOT bags that I am doing myself. I don't want to buy no more than I have to.We are so excited and counting down!
