Would you wear your mother's veil?

I finally got around to having my wedding gown cleaned and ready to sell. Question is, should I sell the veil as well or keep it for future generations? Ladies, would you really wear your mother's old veil? I would love your opinions!

I would consider it if it were still in fashion.

In 20-30 years from now, though, that's pretty unlikely.

Here's what I'm considering doing with my veil:

Normally I would say yes to veil rather than the dress however my parents got divorced (because of my mom) so I want nothing of hers near me on my day (call it rude, call it superstitious, I just don't like the idea! Hahaha)

I would totally wear my mother's veil! I love old things. The dress is not an option as my mother was a size 8 in 1973 when she got married! However, she does not have either item anymore... boo!

I wouldn't wear my mom's veil (I'm just anti veil and hers was attached to a really odd hat) but my MOH used the trim from her mom's veil as her bouquet wrap (with mom's consent of course). As a photographer I have seen people save their veils to do newborn pictures of their daughters in or to turn into a communion/wedding veil for their future girls

I probably would have. No woman in my family had the big wedding, so there was nothing being passed down. I didn't wear a veil, but if it had meaning, I might would have. Being that it matched my dress and wasn't too crazy.

My mom had the ugliest veil when she married my stepdad. It was also too short for my liking. If it was something classic instead of trendy, I would have. But she had one of those poofy crown veils where it sticks up over your head.

My mom kept her wedding dress and veil. I tried both on and neither worked for me. I still wanted to incorporate something from her day though. My mom's dress had lace sleeves so we cut one off her dress and it is going to be wrapped around the stems of my bouquet. I can't wait to see how it looks on Sunday!

I wore my mother's veil. I actually made a point to only buy a dress that went with the veil. It was gorgeous, and I wouldn't have done it any other way.

I wore my mothers veil but had it shortened. It used to have like 3 layers and be floor length. My grandmother also wore this veil so it is a special heirloom.

I wish I had a family heirloom veil to wear! I think if your veil is a classic, timeless style definitely hold onto it as an heirloom piece. I plan to with mine Smiley smile

It depends on the veil. if it was something i liked, then yes. (well, i wouldn't really because she was divorced, but since you're asking for you... i'm assuming you're not going to get divorced, so yes. lol.)
