Would you spend $ for chair covers?

My colors are blush, navy, and various golds. My venue has these black folding chairs with green padding. I'm not a fan of them, but in most pictures of my venue people have opted not to cover them. Do you think it's worth it to cover them? my thought is that once people sit down, throw jackets...

Do you think it's worth it to cover them? my thought is that once people sit down, throw jackets over, etc. it's not really going to matter and in five years I probably won't even remember what the chairs looked like. But I'm also worried that guests will be like "what was she thinking" haha

Did you opt to use a chair sash for your wedding? My eyes are bad and I can't tell from your bottom photo haha. Every photo of covered chairs I see online seems to have a sash but I don't know if I would go that route.

Yes, we did have sashes, they were just a light silvery material! I think they look okay without sashes too though. And tying that many bows is a pain in the butt lol

We found that the cost of chair covers was not that great, if we bought them from a place like linentablecloth.com and resold them afterward. However, you're right that people are unlikely to pay a lot of attention to the chairs, once people put butts and jackets onto them. We got them primarily because our venue (which was not a traditional wedding venue) had a combination of banquet and folding chairs, all of which were kind of beat up.

I personally would because I like aesthetically pleasing decor. How many guests will you have? As long as you shop around you could find cost effective options! You could even buy your own chair covers for possibly cheaper than renting although might have to iron every single one depending on how they're packaged. For $100 I would absolutely cover them. If you want bows you could always try fabric stores yourself or walmart and just buy lots of yards then cut them and tie the bows yourself. But honestly for the whole overall, I think $150 is great! Ugly chairs are just the same as ugly carpet in my book. That's why I couldn't choose a venue like a hotel that had ugly carpet. I like nice wood floors! I am not sure the reasoning why people hate chair covers? Do they hate the way they look, or hate the way they feel? Honestly confused haha.

I personally think that the chairs are fine. You won't notice the seat cushions once everyone is sitting in them really. They don't really stand out to me in a negative way at all. Smiley smile

I think you will be just fine with them as is. Your dark tablecloths will help them blend in.

I hate chair covers. They shift around, look sloppy once sat on, and look like ill fitting dresses. Chairs shouldn't wear dresses.

I am doing chair covers. I don’t care for our venues chairs. I was able to get some used ones for $1 a piece, to me it will be worth it.

Honestly no. I accidentally ripped one before and felt so bad. Regular chairs are fine

I am personally not a fan of the look of chair covers. I think chairs look much better naked unless they are like metal folding chairs or something. I vote no covers, personally. That said, I definitely don't think this decision has any chance of ruining your wedding or the aesthetic of the room. You will be fine either way. If you like the look of covers, for $100 go for it!

If your tablecloths are going to be dark, then that answers the question. Don't

cover them. The chairs will blend. They are a pain trying to get around anyway

especially if you are going to have music and dancing. I am the mother of the bride

and have gone to lots of weddings. No one ever leaves and says- oh my gosh she

didn't throw fabric on the chairs. They will remember the food and entertainment.

I probably wouldn't bother. I would save that money for another aspect of your wedding. The venue i'm going with has them in white, I have to pay for any other color
