Would you rather... have a guest show up wearing jeans or a white dress?

Let's face it, there's always someone who's going to be dressed inappropriately at a wedding! So which would you rather witness? Would you rather... have a guest show up wearing jeans or a white dress? Jeans are my formalwear! I didn't even realize this dress was white! Photo by The Grovers in...

Next Question: Would you rather... do your own makeup, or do your own hair?

Previous Question: Would you rather... forget your vows or forget your rings?

I find both to be so disrespectful. One time I was invited to a wedding reception as a +1 on the spot but I declined because I was wearing a white dress and couldn't change. I couldn't disrespect the bride.

That’s such a positive way of looking at things! If my FSIL did that, I’d definitely be encouraging some trash talk behind her back lmao.

I'm kind of indifferent to both mostly because I know that everyone being invited to my wedding has enough sense not to wear jeans to a formal event or a white dress to a wedding. And if someone did wear a white dress (as long as it wasn't a wedding dress like seriously who does that?), it wouldn't really bother me.

I wouldn't really worry either way, as long as they were in attendance and wanted to party.

If I HAD to pick...I would rather have jeans than a white dress. I wouldn't make a big fuss if someone wore either, because that's on them.

Neither one, really. I would prefer the jeans be clean and not raggy but i would not get salty about it.

At this point I don't really care as long as everyone is wearing clothes! I just don't care about stuff like that anymore.

Jeans would bother me more since we are having a pretty formal event. However, if someone showed up in an actual bridal dress that would be very rude as well. I can't lie.. if someone was in a bridal gown that would bother me and I would feel very hurt.

I wouldn't really care if anyone showed up in jeans. We're in a really rural area so it's a frequent occurrence for weddings which is probably why it doesn't bug me.

Definitely depends on the wedding! Ours was at a county club so they wouldn’t be allowed in with jeans, and I might throw some side eye for not even trying to dress up!

I personally wouldn’t care if someone wore a white dress to my wedding, but when I see it at other weddings it’s all anyone can talk about! Or maybe everyone just points it out to me because I work at WeddingWire... 🤷🏻‍♀️

I said before that I didn't care.Neither would bother me. Apparently, I unestimated myself. FMIL showed me her white lace dress she was thinking about wearing. I smiled and nodded and inside was soooooo annoyed.

I had to discourage my fmil from wearing an "eggshell" colored dress she sent me today (15 days before our wedding). She sent me two options: one basically white (ahem... eggshell), and one cute and black with the message "well (FH) doesn't want me to wear black but what do you think?"

um. wear the black one, girl. LOL

I'm expecting people will show up in jeans, I just want them to have a nice button up at least. As for the white dress....I don't know. I'm not one to dictate other's attire but I think that would make me the least happy. But honestly, I don't really care too much.

That's a tough one... I think I'd pick a white sundress over jeans but jeans over a full on bridal gown. I think it would also depend on the jeans too, dark enough jeans can almost look like dress pants with a dressy shirt could be ok. Honestly, if I notice I'll be eye-rolling either if they happen but I probably wouldn't notice until I watch the video lol.

I'm going to have the same problem at my wedidng. I will have guests from both sides of the family that will more than likely end up coming in their regular clothing even though my wedding is black tie. I honesly think that if they're going to come in regular clothes it just needs to look nice and not something they slept in the night before.
