Would you rather...have a dress that looks amazing in person but so-so in pictures, or vice versa?

If you had to choose one thing about your dress would it be that it photographs well, or looks amazing in person? Is this something you considered when dress shopping? IRL. It’s gotta photograph well. We’re eloping so I’m sure it’ll look nice at the candle lit dinner after - but I could care less what it looks like in the sunlight. 😝 My shoes cost more than the gown cuz I can wear them again after.

I would say look good in person, because if I didn't feel good in person then I would be too uncomfortable to take good pictures

That's a tough one, but I'd have to go with amazing in person because even if it wouldn't look good in pictures, I'd always remember how amazing I felt in the dress on the big day Smiley smile

I would say in person, when I was shopping for it I picked it out on how I looked and felt. Not till a few weeks later I noticed my dress might not look as amazing in photos like it will in person. My dress has a lot of detail on it and when I tried it on you could see all that because of the color that was there. I ordered it ivory on ivory so I realized that you will not be able to see the details on the photos but I think I will be ok with that because I know I will look amazing and I think my FH will love it. And thats all that matter to me.

I would want it to look better in pictures! I would want to look back and see a beautiful dress rather than just so so

The actual experience counts more than the photos. In person.

That being said, I don’t think a Grace Kelly inspired dress is going to look bad in either circumstance

In person. While pictures will be used for memories, I would still wanna look amazing in person. If I had a dress that I didn't like as much in person, I think I wouldn't be as happy on my big day. or as confident.

Amazing in photographs. I am going to look at those forever and show my kids. The in person is whatever. People will remember it pretier because of the photos.

Amazing in person. Everyone that is at my wedding will have known what my dress looked like and that would be all that matters. Besides, most dresses look so so in pictures and AMAZING in person. The model photographs of the dress I chose had no comparison to how I think the dress looked in person.

Pictures last a lifetime! I think most dresses do look so-so in person but way better in photos. Go with the photo-friendly dress. You don’t want to be worried about the picture angles n if the dress looks ok all day/night. People will think you look beautiful n stunning either way because you’re the bride. Play up your makeup n hair a little more n the dress that’s so-so in person is now a “Wow” as they’re all looking at your face n how you’re glowing!
