Would you add a second dessert?

Hi guys! So, 4 months to my wedding and I’m starting to make lots of little decisions. One of the things I’ve been considering is adding a new dessert option for our reception. Our main dessert is an all-you-can-eat ice cream bar from our favorite local ice cream parlor, and we are SO stoked about it. Lately I’ve been wondering if it would be a good idea to also get some pies from a highly rated local pie shop as another option. With the cost of the pies, delivery fees, and getting disposable pie plates/servers, it would likely be around $300 or less to add them in. My fiancé doesn’t seem to think another dessert is necessary, but I’m not sure. I’d love to hear any thoughts you guys have!

I love that idea! I personally would pick pie over a wedding cake if it wouldn’t make my mother fall over dead haha Do you have someone cutting/serving the pie? If not maybe more “finger food” desserts could be easier, brownies, cookies, bars, ect

Having options is never a bad idea, as some people may not like or want ice cream. If your budget allows for it, you might find that it enhances the experience for your guests. Plus, pie and ice cream together is delicious... Ultimately it's entirely your (and your FH's) decision. Personally, I'm planning on doing a desert bar with multiple options including several ice cream flavors, brownies, cake, cupcakes, cookies, etc, but I'm doing that instead of serving a traditional dinner, as we'll be having our reception later in the night.
