Worried that my wedding will look cheap since I'm trying to save money. What do you think?

Hey ladies, Well, I'm very happy and excited for my wedding, but it won't be fancy or anything like that. I'm not having a church ceremony. Mine is going to be civil union. But my dad is still walking me down the aisle and we are doing it at my aunt's house, since she has a garden that can fit...

Hey ladies,

Well, I'm very happy and excited for my wedding, but it won't be fancy or anything like that. I'm not having a church ceremony. Mine is going to be civil union. But my dad is still walking me down the aisle and we are doing it at my aunt's house, since she has a garden that can fit around 50 people. So we are doing the ceremony there and then a small reception with an Italian buffet. I'm still wearing a beautiful wedding dress though and I will take professional photos to have a good memory of that day. But I get a little worried about what people might think, since it won't be a fancy or big venue and usually weddings are elegant. My cousins had a really nice wedding and I don't know what people might think of mine. But I decided to do something small to save money because we want to buy a house in the future and other important stuff. What do you think???

Just have a back-up plan in case the weather doesn't cooperate.

No wedding looks elegant if guests are wet & muddy, LOL!

This sounds lovely. I don't know why you're worried! As long as you have your ceremony, give people food and drink, they'll be fine! Wedding guests typically DO NOT over think things the way that us brides do.

A small, intimate ceremony and reception can definitely be lovely! I'm sure everything will turn out beautifully. Just make sure to put a little effort into it. Check out pinterest for some ideas, just search "Backyard Wedding" or "Garden Party Wedding".

A wedding can still be elegant and classy with a smaller amount of people, its what you like anyways, who cares what people think!

Doesn't sound cheap at all, to me-- sounds lovely. I had a friend get married in a park-- no DJ so we all had to hum 'here comes the bride', reception in what I *swear* was a school's gym-- but what did it matter? She was happy and she and DH have been married for years!

@Geysa I finally found a date twin! Lol but yes back to the topic at hand. I think as long as you and your FH are happy that is truly all that matters. The people are there because they love you and they won't think your wedding was cheap in anyway. If they do they didn't need to be there in the first place.
