Are any of you inviting guests that you are worried about in terms of their behaviour? 1. Maybe they've been giving you a hard time with the wedding planning, or in general are negative towards your FH, you and everything you've been planning? 2. Are any of you inviting guests that you are worried about in terms of their behaviour?

1. Maybe they've been giving you a hard time with the wedding planning, or in general are negative towards your FH, you and everything you've been planning?

2. You know you've got to invite them, but they've been known to cause a ruckus?

3. You may want them there, but worried about how they may act?

How can one go about trying to prevent any sort of outbursts or unsavoury events?

I have a concern with my fiancé's friends girlfriend being at my wedding. She is a narcissist and feels that she always has to compete with me and one up with me. She is very jealous and envious. I could see her causing issues.

I'm a little worried about the best man and his SO. They have not outgrown their party days (we're all in our mid-late 30s). Last time they were in town, they were hammered the entire time they were here and it was like herding toddlers around. My FH said not to worry because he isn't babysitting adults on our wedding night and they'll have to figure themselves out if they do drink too much.

I invited someone while we were on good terms.

After the invite, she was a little inappropriate at my father’s funeral. I let it slide because, ya know, grief hit everyone differently.

But then she went on to say some rude things about my family. It upset me and I told her how it made me feel and she hasn’t spoken to me since. No apology or even a defense to her actions. Just radio silent.

Honestly, I’m just hoping she doesn’t show. She doesn’t need to be around my family if she can’t be civil.

Uhhhhh my dad! Long story short, my parents are still married, but really really shouldn't be. Anyway, him and I have never had a great relationship. As in, he never calls me on my birthday or holidays (we live in seperate states) and I only see him MAYBE once a year if he decides to visit with the rest of the family. (The car ride is too long for him)

Anyway, super selfish and narcissistic. Thinks he is funny when he is really just being offensive. (My sister just announced that she is pregnant, he found multiple ways to make it about himself.) He is also in terrible health. Drinks and smokes way too much. He has been a functioning alcoholic my entire life. Going to rehab twice. It never stuck.

We are having a DW in Puerto Rico. Just my family and FW's family. This will be her family's first time meeting my father. I can easily make myself sick thinking of all the ways that he can potentially offend FW's sweet family. Or make the trip about him. We want to do lots of excursions (hiking the rainforest, kayaking, snorkeling) and he physically can't do any of those things. I fear he will make it about himself to get everyone's pity. UHHH

I am worried about a couple of people but, I have had conversations with the catering company bartender who will cut people off who are intoxicated and hired extra security who will walk people out if they get unruly. No one that has a problem with our relationship is invited. I wouldn't share our special day with someone who has negative feelings about our relationship.
