Just a lesson to myself.To not talk about the details about my wedding anymore.Storytime- I was excited that i ordered the linen napkins. I was about to tell someone about them and how i got a discount from Weddingwire, but they interrupted me and said."You get what you paid for! Those are going to scratch people's face off! Nice fabric is 200$ a pop! Not that cheap price"
I got mine for 50.89..........

Now comes the doubting myself.

Then i went home and 3 other people made it a point to tell me I was being ready too early.

Mind you it is almost 2020. Thats the year we PREP for our 2021 wedding. Not much time left so HUSH.

The next day I got excited because my fiancee got an engraved wedding cake cutting set.
Then i got this response
"Your going to spend yourselves into oblivion, buying things you dont need"
Ok fine then ill cut the cake with my high heel! Is that cheap enough for you?!?!?!?!!?!?!?
So i decided to keep my mouth shut about the wedding details and to keep the excitement to myself and my journal.

Oh, Traci, I'm so sorry!!! I know just how this feels! Here's the awful truth about wedding planning: nobody will care or be as excited as you are about your wedding.
Some people will be downright rude with their comments (as you have discovered). But you can feel good about the forums here. Most of the time, I get happy, supportive comments, and a lot of good ideas and advice. You can always come here to share your details!! We love to hear it.
I usually tell others to just keep the details to yourself. That way you won't be hurt by someone's rude or insensitive comments. Keep your chin up girl!!!
BTW, there's nothing wrong with planning and being ready way ahead of time. I'm a planner, and most everything is done now for my May 2020 wedding. I'm so glad I won't be rushing around doing things in the last 3 months. Good luck, and happy planning!!

Ohhh i want to know where you got that steal on napkins! fh is fine with paper but if i can find a good deal on the fabric ones i would so prefer those!

Yes! Come here and tell us your details! I love seeing everyone's styles. Post a pic showing off your engraved cake cutting set!
I will tell you my mom still uses the set she had for her cake cutting 35 years ago! You will use your set to cut birthday cakes, holiday desserts, maybe even your childrens' birthday cakes one day. Don't let people make you feel bad! This is an exciting time for you!

People will always try to give their opinions when nooo one asked them to.
i don’t think aaaanything wrong with planning your wedding now, less stress for you and trust me, time will go flying
about the napkins... have you ever been to a wedding and thought “oh god, what a horrible napkin”? I don’t think so. You got a great deal, don’t let other people bring your happiness down

I have realized this especially when you're excited and want other people especially your family and friends but reality, nobody is going to as excited as you are/will be.

I've realized that when I'm around my mom I cannot speak about my wedding or even show my excited about my wedding because she is debbie downer whenever I'm excited about my wedding. It's in 2020 but it's in 10 months it'll be here soon💜

Either giving too much unwanted advice or criticizing something that you've already decided on. 🗣I SAID WHAT I SAID 😂 Come talk to us about all your details, we're excitedddddd too! I think its awesome that your fiance' got that engraved. And it's never to early to start planning, I've also heard that same remark smh. Don't hush your happiness for people like that.

Ohhhh that's so frustrating!!! Part of the reason why I liked the WW community so much is we're all so giddy and can share that with each other and support each other.
I say good for you for planning ahead of time and heck yeah on a steal for napkins! On that note... they're bloody napkins. If someone has a problem with your NAPKINS, there is no pleasing that fool.
