Winter Honeymoon Destinations

Madison, on June 23, 2019 at 12:06 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 2
My fiancé & I are getting married in August but we want to take our honeymoon in November/ December to get away from the cold and give us time after the wedding to save up some money! Any destinations to avoid during those months? Any destinations you recommend during those months?

We are also getting married in August and thinking of honeymooning in November. It will be starting to get warm for us, as we live in Sydney. Our short list so far is New Caledonia, Lord Howe Island (off the coast of NSW Australia), maybe Vanuatu? We’ve also looked at the Ghan, it’s a luxury train that goes through Australia. We were pretty set on Sri Lanka, but after the Easter bombings the Australian Govt issued a travel warning so the got nixed Smiley sad
South America is supposed to be nice that time of year too.

Hey Madison! This is a great idea! There is nothing like getting some winter sun and getting away from the cold.

As the pp mentioned, Australia will be coming into their summer, as is New Zealand. This could be an amazing adventure for you both as a newly married couple.

If you were thinking of going somewhere more exotic, you could check out Thailand or Singapore.

You could also stay a little closer to home by looking into the Carribean or even somewhere in the US like Florida.

It totally depends on what type of honeymoon you want to go on.
