Wine Alternatives?

Hey y'all! We're planning on doing a wine and beer bar but... I realized I'm not a fan of most wine. I like Moscatos and Zinfandels (Arbor Mist, Stella Rosa) but that's about it. Not a fan of bold wines. Most of my family are legit wine drinkers so I feel like serving fruity wines wouldn't go over...

Not a fan of bold wines. Most of my family are legit wine drinkers so I feel like serving fruity wines wouldn't go over easy. We're planning on doing BBQ catering. Any alternative ideas or lighter wine options?

I've decided to go with a sparkling spumante (Verdi is great) for my younger crowd (friends & cousins) and the older crowd and wine heads will have a Riesling and Cabernet red option and Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay white option for the older crowd. Plus beer options! I love Stella Rosa Black and so does my fiance so we'll have a bottle or two of that for ourselves because it's a bit more expensive to buy for our guests that probably won't drink it. Thanks everyone!

Apple wine is great with barbecue, as well as German Octoberfest type sausage, brats, or deli , and the sides. You are not talking delicately seasoned things. Serve fine wine before the meal if you like, but beer and apple wine will always best, other than hard liquor, to me.

I would expand a bit; a lot of people don't like the sweeter wines that you're talking about, and they don't really go with BBQ.

I'm glad you're expanding your options for your guests. Don't drink something that you're not offering to your guests, that's rude. Save it for later that night or on the honeymoon.
