Will my nails last if I get them done two days prior to my wedding?

Sakina, on January 5, 2021 at 10:08 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 24
Okay ladies...I know this probably sounds crazy, but I have never had my nails done before...My nails are naturally long and healthy and plus I'm not a nail type of girl lol..I don't even polish them. My question is, do you think my nails will last if I get them done two days prior to my wedding? I plan to get French ombre nails by the way....

I don't see why they wouldn't! The only factors are your work and hobbies, and how much you use your hands during those activities!

I use my hands extensively for my job (filing paperwork, computer work etc.), and we go to the gym often, so I would get my nails done the day before my wedding day.

If you have a job similar to mine, or wash your hands often, etc. then you may want to get them done the day before just to be safe!

Thank you and I do have a similar job as well...I just have a lot of running around to do the day before that I'm kind of worried I'll be rushing.

Are you getting acrylic or your real nails done? I never do acrylic. The polish on my real nails last for about 10 daya

I suggest gel. You need acetone on cotton rounds (cut in 4), wrap with aluminum foil for 10 minutes, then gently scrape them off to remove it. Gel last long on thick nails and so worth it.

I do not think they will last two days if you use your hands a lot. I did gel on top of acrylics and the next day just through cooking Christmas dinner I nicked them a few times because of knife cutting (just the nail itself lol) so I agree to do a gel manicure so they last for sure.

Gotcha! Well in that case, I would say get them a couple of days before the wedding and get gel nail polish! They aren't as rough on your nails when it comes to removing them, and they last longer than regular nail polish!

It should definitely last if you get gel polish. They don't do anything to your nail it's just the polish. It's super shiny and lasts upto 2 weeks.

Whaaa.... Mine last at least 3 weeks! I have been doing my own acrylics and gel. I cook, bake, clean bathroom, gardening, and I bath often.

Oh no lol. I am saying with natural nails I do not think a manicure would hold up to that. My point is even with acrylics and gel almost two weeks later they look good but I still made some nicks in them so imagine doing all that cooking and cleaning with a manicure and even in my job I use my hands a lot so a manicure for me would not hold up even two days. Smiley smile

That’s what I thought. Me, without acrylic and gel? Not only my polish doesn’t last a day. My nails are literally like baby nails and I am not joking. Anemia and thyroid damaged my nails, skin, hair ☹️

Oh no my nails are super thin ha ha ha so I feel you.

To the OP oh yeah I did not mean my acrylics broke.
