Will my dress make it….

So… I barely made the 8 month mark for my wedding gown. I was relieved. However, two weeks later I went in to make some alterations which will now push my dress back about 4 weeks, leaving me with about 6 weeks until my wedding day. I have a seamstress and fitting appointment booked and on standby in case the dress arrives early. Will be very minor alterations because even the sample dress fit well. They go by measurements and not by dress size so I’m hoping that will help… and I’m hoping everything gets done in time.

I think it should be fine if they know you're wedding date. The dress is gorgeous on you!!!

Most alterations are done 1-3 months out, over several appointments, so, yes, you should have time (but, depending on when it comes in and your seamstress’ schedule you may have to pay rush fees). I just had my first alterations appointment at almost 8 weeks out, but I know several brides that didn’t have their first appointment until closer to 4-6 weeks out (Their final appointment was 1-2 weeks out).

You should be fine as long as you remind everybody involved of your wedding date. Your dress is gorgeous!
