Why purple uplighting?

Hey there! Sorry if anyone already said this, but I'm too lazy to read through all the comments. I started my career as a special event lighting designer. Purple is a great color for uplights because it's dramatic and impressive (the color spreads well) and it doesn't have bleed-off in photos. Some people want like, bright greens or reds, but those colors do tend to show up in photography reflected on a cake, dress, etc. Overall, it's impactful, elegant, and does go with most color schemes.

My uplighting was purple because it looked better than any of the other primary colors or colors that could mix. It looked better when we took before photos as well.

I'm assuming purple is popular because it looks best in pics, makes everyone look good and the most flattering. We are doing blue for the same reasons.

Ive been in 17 weddings (and attended a whole lot more than that), and the prettiest ones have always had purple uplighting. Not sure what makes it so darn pretty, but it really is!

We are using purple cuz purple is my favourite colour and naturally is one of our wedding colours haha
