Ok, I am getting married on March 12th . My fiancé is a widower and I am a divorcee. My dilemma is that I am a plus size bride having a very casual wedding and I have a simple white floor length dress that pretty much resembles a giant white curtain... Haha. It's really not that flattering, but I was ok with wearing it long enough to get married & changing RIGHT after our I dos. I was then going to wear something more comfy and less white. Yesterday, I found the cutest black tea length dress that I feel very pretty & sexy in...and not at all nauseated when I think of being in front of 100 people in, as opposed to the white one. My fiancée thinks I should just wear the white one (which he has not seen me in). He was with me when I tried on & bought the black one & thought it looked very good. Is wearing a black dress THAT bad for your second wedding?

Love the photos. I did a Google search of images for black wedding dress and a lot of very beautiful dresses came up.

Wear what makes you happy. Black can be done very beautifully and if you feel beautiful, it will show through.

My favorite color is black so I dont think there would be anything wrong with it! In fact I kinda wish mine was black!! go with what makes you feel sexy and beautiful!

Go for it! You need to wear what you feel beautiful in, not what is expected.

It is your wedding and should wear what you're comfortable with. I can tell you that if you're uncomfortable in the white dress, it'll show in pictures and in how you hold yourself.

I’m getting married next October and I’ve already been given the questions “are you wearing a black dress” and when I say no but maybe a black sash or belt around the waist or a little black in my veil, I want a black crescent moon necklace maybe. And all I get is no you can’t wear a black sash or belt. Like it’s a freakin accessory and it’s MY wedding. I don’t understand why some people are really disrespectful towards any black on the bride involved or completely black... no ones going to hell or becoming doomed because they wanted to wear a black dress or add black accessories. We are doing burgundy black and gold with some ivory and white for a spooky yet romantic and elegant feel and god damn it if I want a little black on my white dress!!!
