Hi everyone, I might regret this, but I'm seeking your opinion on the reception menu. We only have a choice of 5 preferred vendors and we have chosen a pretty well known, but local, Italian restaurant. They have a decent amount of options and the price is good. But currently, I'm stuck on which route to go.
From the meats offered, we figured it safe to choose Italian baked chicken as one of our contenders, which is like $10 a person (this is a buffet with sides included). I don't eat red meat, so that's why we selected chicken. They also offer pasta options, obviously. Spaghetti or mostaccioli (also a buffet with sides) is only $8 a person. I personally LOVE PASTA. Spaghetti is my favorite food. But I'm trying to please a crowd, not just myself. FH is more concerned about it being cheaper because he's footing most of the bill, which I understand and agree with to an extent. But I don't want to seem skimpy by serving pasta, ya know? Italian food peeps, did your guests seem to like it?
Side note: only one person invited is vegan and no one is vegetarian, so I took that into account. Also, we really aren't the super "fancy" type of people. I'm not that concerned about Italian being a more economic and perhaps not as "fancy" option.
TIA!
