Who's doing a dessert bar?

I am imagining a dessert bar with tons and tons of variety, but with a guest list of 100 I'm wondering how much I should have?? Would smaller quantities of more things be ok or should I focus on a few things with enough of everything? What's your dessert menu?

We are doing one. in addition to the cake we are doing cookies, fruit and some other small goodies. We made it a little extra special adding in some signature drinks that have been passed down on either side of the family. The one from my side is a punch of vanilla ice cream and ginger ale that my grandmother served during holidays and special events.

@E-Tex, come on up! One of my bridesmaids has never seen one, either, and she is so excited about it! And it's not everywhere in Pennsylvania, either, mostly in the Pittsburgh area. My nephew's wife is from up near Harrisburg and when they got married, her family had no idea what a cookie table is!

We're going to have cannolis, mini apple pies, tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and our cake. We are also having a coffee bar and a hot chocolate bar which will have biscotti, cookies, and brownies on it! FH and I don't have a lot in common, but we both love to make food and eat it, obviously we'll just be eating this stuff.

I'm assuming the caterer has a plan as to how many of each, we haven't talked numbers for each item yet. I doubt we'll do one pp or everything but I'll see what she says.

Along with the cake (small), we're having two trays of European pastries (canoli's, operas, eclairs, some other things covered in whipped cream and chocolate), a tray of Kolacky's, and a tray with ~200 gourmet cookies on it. For about 80 people. I think it's overkill, but eh. Whatever isn't eaten the guests can take back to the hotel!

We are having viennese hour because I had to have it! Lol. I know its overkill but we are foodies! In place of favors, we are giving slices of the wedding cake in a cake favor box to go as a "next day treat". I personally do not like cake so it wont bother me not to have any the day of my wedding. Dessert bars are just as nice

We are doing a cocktail reception with heavy apps and heavy dessert. I am a sweets fanatic, so I'm super stoked!

I need to narrow down my options as I have too many ideas, but def doing a dessert bar and maybe a small cake for the two of us since my FH wants cake. I'm cool with whatever, because I like dessert, but ive seen too many weddings where the cake is meh and no one eats more than 1 piece so it goes to waste. So I'm thinking a diy smores bar and my caterer and I have to narrow down the rest lol
