Actually, me. We love coffee dates and I'm always making things out of straw paper. I met him one day and made him a straw paper ring and told him I wanted to marry him. It was important to him to be the one to ask (one of the few ways he's wanted "tradition" with our wedding) so since it was so low key, we joked we were "half-gaged" (I'm aware of how weird we are) and officially got engaged a couple months later. Yes, he still has the straw ring. We're also in our late 20s/late 30s lol.

FH said this with the ring... I've said it weekly for about 5 years now, lol.

FH asked. I was starting to think about proposing to him, but I knew that he really wanted to do it, so I held off!

He first asked me when we were still in high school. He always told me that he was going to marry me from the age of 16-17

He asked me on Aug.25th of this year at my parents 30th wedding anniversary

He asked me to be his wife on December 8, 2017.

I also got him a claddagh ring (he’s Irish and loves the design). One night shortly after I had both objects we went and picked up our favorite beers. I offered to pour his once we got home and he saw his name on the side of the glass then started asking me where I got the pint glass from. I told him we’d talk about after his beer. When he go to has last few sips he saw the bottom of the glass and laughed and said “you’re ridiculous.” I responded with “You want to know what even more ridiculous?” Then I pulled out his ring, and started crying and asked him if was ever going to answer me. He then responded with “Sure thing, babe.” Then I pulled out the pint glass I had made for myself that said “He said Sure!” (My glass was his favorite part lol)

Of course my husband did. He asked me.

I was the first to say when are we getting married, he proposed, and sometimes I want to say let’s just elope lol

I wrote a lengthy facebook message stating i would like to marry him one day.

We always spoke about 'being married someday' or i'd say 'i'm gonna marry you some day'

Then around 6-8 months later, he asked me to marry him. It was totally unexpected.
