Who is more strict about sticking to the budget? You or your fiancé(e)?

Me! I'm so frugal with everything. If I have extra money it goes directly toward my student loans. Whereas he'll have extra money and think "this is the amount I can spend on car parts" and "what car part can I buy that costs exactly this amount"

*eyeroll* Any ladies out there have car guys and can relate??

With wedding/honeymoon expenses coming up, he is getting better with more conscious buying decisions and using coupons and whatnot.

I think we're both pretty good about it, but we really haven't run into any issues with it yet either, so it's hard to say!

But as far as keeping track and making sure everyone is paid on time, I do all that!

I'm a stay at home mom now but I am very frugal about what we spend money on.

We both are pretty good at it, but I'd say he is the best! I go back and forth between wanting nicer, more expensive things and also searching endlessly for the cheaper option. He keeps me in check and reminds me to stay in our budget and not go too crazy. Which I appreciate In life in general, he is great at budgeting, we only buy what we need to, and it's usually me that whats to spend money on things we don't necessarily need.

Me !!!! He's horrible with money. His motto is you only live once, so why not ?!
He's gotten better through the years though.. but im more money concious than him.

I do for sure. He blows all his money on his gaming stuff but it’s okay because we only pay rent for now so whatever is left of our paycheck is ours to spend.

WE are both bad at keeping to out own budget, but really good at making sure the other person sticks to theirs. its a perfect balance hahah

Neither one of us really. Our budget fluctuates but it usually stays around the amount we originally agreed upon. As our needs change, so does our budget. When it comes to our actual monthly budget, however, I’m the one that’s strict about it and it’s annoying. We have to watch what we spend, because the more we spend, the less we have for the wedding and I want to make sure we have plenty of money. I don’t want to end up short because we were planning for the bare minimum.

Me, we both still have something to learn but I'm definitely better at it.

I keep track of most all the finances but ironically I can never stay within them lol! He is definitely more strict about spending money etc but I just keep track of when and what needs to be paid 😂

I'm more budget focused, but I'm also the bigger spender. He makes really good financial decisions that I wouldn't, so he's a good influence one me there. And I've influenced him on the budgeting side of things. But, we're both equally as likely to impulse buy.

He is, he keeps track of everything and though I try...I am terrible at sticking to budgets!

I am pretty conservative when it comes to money and so is he. He lets me handle the finances though. So sticking to a budget is all on me.

Absolutely him and this is one of the reasons I feel like we balance each other so well. When we first started dating, I was the impulsive shopper, never stuck to a budget, paychecks were gone the day they came, etc, whereas he saved his money, always thought big purchases through (even little ones sometimes), and knew how to budget. For our wedding, if it wasn't for him, I don't know if we would have been able to save for our wedding the way we did.

We are both frugal, saver types. I've heard opposites attract and work well together but this seems to work for us.
