Who is having a Maid AND Matron of honor?

Marlina A., on March 25, 2013 at 2:06 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 24

I dont think I will be doing this but I am curious to know... If you have a Maid of honor of course she will walk out with the best man. But if you also have a Matron of honor who does she walk out with? Do people even have both at there weddings? Just a bit confused. I appreciate all clarifications lol

I had both at my first wedding.

My matron of honor walked with the best man. My maid of honor was escorted by a groomsman, but the program called them out as Matron of Honor and Maid of Honor.

My sister was Matron of Honor and the Best Man was my ex-BIL. It just made sense to me that our siblings walked together. My maid of honor was "just" a friend LOL

My girlfriend has 2 sisters - one married, one not, and they were her Maid/Matron of Honor. They both walked with the Best Man, one on each side. Hope that helps Smiley smile

I'm having both! My sister (Maid of Honor) and my best friend (Matron of Honor) I think we will have the groomsmen stand at the front and just the girls walk down the aisle. But if we have the whole party walk down my sis will walk with the best man and my BFF will walk with the next groomsmen in line.

We ended up choosing not to have a bridal party, but if we had, my older sister would have been my matron of honor and my younger sister my maid of honor.

I think it's perfectly fine to do both! But I hadn't gotten far enough to think about who each one would walk with, sorry!

Man of Honor, Maid of Honor & Matron of Honor here Smiley smile

Matron of Honor will walk with Best Man. Man of Honor and Maid of Honor will walk together...that is our entire bridal party with the exception of the kids.

I'm having a Matron and Maid of Honor. My Matron of Honor is my best friend of 22 years (we've known each other since we were 3) and my Maid of Honor is my other best friend who I have known since 4th grade. All 3 of us are really close.

FH has 2 best men so it will work out perfectly but I'll probably have my Matron of Honor walk out first since I've known her the longest.

I have both (my cousin and my best friend since junior high). Best man will be with FH and I haven't decided if which one will walk last alone and then escorted back with the Best Man. Guess I better make a decision.

I am pretty sure I will be having both (haven't asked them yet!). I am going to have the men stand in the front and the girls walk down. My fiances best man is single, so I will prob match my maid up with him and the next in line is my matrons soon to be husband, so it just kinda works out lol

I'm having both. Maid of Honor will walk with Best Man. Maid of honor will walk with groomsmen. I think that's a good idea to have both maid and matron walk with the best man, @KristnB!

I have both...we also have 3 best men. Make tradition work for you! Our friendships don't fit into the normal wedding party.

I have both! They would both be maids of honor, but one just happens to be married. I was going to have my matron walk with my FH's son (the best little man), but she wants to be paired with "someone fun" SO I may switch it and have her walk with FH's best man (life of the party) and my maid of honor walk with the best little man. Not too sure yet... so many choices...

This girl is. I couldn't decide between my childhood best friend and my friend where I live now. Both have been wonderful women in my life. One is married and one is not so that made the Maid and matron thing easy. The matron is walking with a groomsman.

We had both maid and matron of honor and a Best woman ( MIL). These days things have to be so traditional I agree make it work for you and FH.

Well my wedding is approaching and I have my sister in law the matron of honor because I would like someone who is married to sign on my license and that's the correct way and I am close to her. I have my three close sisters to be my maids of honors .

I am having both, but I mixed up the verbiage when asking my oldest friend to be the Matron of Honor... she is not married. She will be partnered with the BM when walking down the aisle. the other is actually the oldest in age and married and I asked her much later.
