March 16, 2019 here. We have our venue, dj, photographer, priest and hotel for guests booked. Our venue includes so many things in the cost like catering, floral center pieces, the cake, set up and break down. Half of our guest list is out of state so we'll be sending the save the dates towards the end of March, early April. I found most of the stuff I want to get for decorations and such, and I just have to purchase them now. We'll also be using silk flowers to cost back of costs. Wedding party chosen, preliminary guest list started, bridal dress fitting next week and bridal party dress fitting next month. So far I'm not stressed out, probably because we are so far ahead. I have spreadsheets for everything - what I've paid, what I owe, what I still need to do, what I need to buy, etc. I am a very organized person, so my lists have helped keep me sane so far
Isn't an open bar, open a flat rate per person that we agreed upon upfront? I'm not expecting to owe anything the night of. I thought that was a Consumption Bar? Where basically everyone puts their drinks on your tab and you settle up before leaving.
I sure hope I didn't misunderstand when booking mine.
Yea it typically is, but it's crazy because two of the venues we looked at had an open bar "included" but you would still have to pay a tab at the end. Which it reallys doesn't make too much sense to me, honestly. They call it an open bar but it's really not. I haven't encountered or heard of a lot of places that do that, though.
Yea, the spreadsheet is literally the only thing that keeping me together when it comes to all this planning! Lol! But the venue with all that stuff included is literally the best! I'm down for anything that makes it so I don't have to worry as much lol
Getting married April 20, 2019 and so far I only have our wedding venue booked. People keep saying I need to get a move on it because time isn't standing still and I see they are right. Seems like these days are going by so fast. It's nerve wrecking
Congrats!! And don't let people put too much pressure on you! I'm not saying that's the case, but I can see anyone getting stressed if people are hounding them about planning if they aren't ready! I do think time will fly, but you have ample time to do what you need too! A lot of the planning doesn't start until about 10 or 11 months out anyway!

You are really on it! Very smart to get things out of the way before the holidays. I didn’t really start planning until 3 months after I got engaged
Ok ladies I posted this in the planning forum but I need my fellow March 2019 brides for advice also.
Thanks in advance😚
Found this amazing venue to host our ceremony, it is a renovated 1920s theater. The problem is they still show movies there and Saturday is their biggest night, so trying to have the ceremony would mean we would have to buy out the whole theater, and the event coordinator has to verify with the owner if we can even do that. So I was thinking of moving our wedding to Sunday March 3, 2019. Would you push your date by 1 day or move on to another venue? We are at our year so I'm getting a little nervous not having a venue nailed down.

That’s tough! it’s hard to say because I feel like I would I just pick another venue only because if it’s a theater, there’s STILL a possibility (even if it’s small) that the same thing could happen on that Sunday too. If you really want the wedding on a Saturday I would say go with another venue, but if you are in love with that venue and think it’s absolutely perfect, I say stay with that venue.
I hope this helps!

We bought out invitations from zazzle.com, easy to customize and so many choices and discounts! I don't feel the need to spend a crazy amout on invites, yes we will keep one forever but in the end that is probably the only one that will be left lol. We spent a little over 200 on them. Our guest list is a little over 100.
We're planning March 23, 2019. Going to look at our first choice venue tomorrow, chose an officiant too. I have a dress as well. Still much to do though.

I know i’m just jumping in late with this post but my day is march 30, 2019!! I have thoughts of everything i want for the most part but nothin actually planned. i just started this week to email venues and some are already responding with date taken. i’m shocked honestly but it puts me in gear to get things moving. Trying for an all inclusive venue and then see what else from there. Hopefully everything else will be DIY like the cake and possibly dress depending on price for material or rent or buy. A year seems so far away and so much happens that changes things... better get started though!
March 9th, 2019 in New York! Just secured our venue last week and looking to book a wedding planner by end of this week to help us plan for everything else. Our next big vendor to secure is our photographer
We are getting married March 30, 2019. We have close to all our vendors booked except for the makeup professionals. We have booked our venue over at 12 West Main in the Mesa Arts Center and I would say we are at the end of our booking process now we're getting ready to put it all together. SO excited!
