I'd love some feedback about the different agencies/companies all of you are using and how they have been in handling any claims!

Rocks! I added my ring onto my homeowners insurance policy. I've been w/USAA for years with other products; their customer service is amazing. However, you, your FH, or your parent must have served in the military to qualify for USAA membership.

The amount you pay depends on where you live, but mostly on the cost of the ring. You'll need the official valuation paperwork that came with it. I pay $330 or so a year.

Although you can insure your rings through your homeowners or renters ins., the problem lies in that if you lose your rings anywhere other than home, your rings will not be covered. Homeowners/Renters also do not typically cover what is known as "mysterious disapearance". (Meaning you may or may not have lost them at home, you really have no idea, you just happen to look down and your rings are gone.) Most often rings are lost or stolen while on vacation, shopping, or away from home. You best and most affordable bet is to go with a company that specializes in insuring jewelry. It is not nearly as expensive as you might assume. For example, if you insure a $3000 ring with a zero deductable, depending on where you live, some premiums are only $32 a year. Some around $50. Either way if you use a jewelry insurer (Perfect Circle Insurance for example) your ring will be completely covered regardless of the place you lost it. http://www.titanium-jewelry.com/jewelry-insurance-info.html
