Who didn't have an alter?

We do not have one. We are getting married on the large porch of the venue. It is a historic mansion!

We didn't. We had a giant wooden desk because we got married in our House of Representatives Chamber. Complete with computers and such.

We are having ours in the Botanical Gardens under a huge gorgeous tree. No need for an alter. FMIL may bring 2 potted vases of flowers to have but not sure about it.

Nope! We got married on the front lawn of an old, historic manor house. The alter would have been too competitive with the back drop.

We're getting married in a garden in from of a waterfall. I don't want to distract from the actual scenery

No altar at my wedding. We are getting married at a country club.

No alter for us, but we're getting married in front of floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the ocean, so it should still be nice. The room is sort of rectangle shaped, so the aisle is only about 5 chairs deep, but I get to walk down a cool staircase too.

Outdoor ceremony in a garden, so no "altar." We'll need a table to hold the Unity Sand stuff though.

Our beach DW didn't have an altar, just a bunch of rose pedals made in a heart shape.
