Who Comes First, Your Spouse or Your Children?

This would be a tricky one for me, I have children from a previous relationship and FH feels that they should come before he does so they don’t end up getting upset that he has taken their mother away😂😂😂. But the article makes a good point about the fact that children move away and start their own families and your spouse will still be there and i feel it is important for my children to have a good example of a healthy and loving relationship.

Spouse first! FH and I don't have any children

Spouse! I have a child from a previous marriage, but FH and I continuously prioritize our relationship first. The healthier and happier our relationship is, the better parents we can be to my daughter and to any future children we have and the more we can enjoy each other when the kid(s) eventually don’t live with us anymore.

View Quoted Comment Depends on what it is about. Kids are a little more helpless then my husband is. However I would still have date nights.and spend specytime with hubby.

I do both. I have four children from a previous marriage. I can balance both at different times. Sometimes my children come first. Sometimes by FH come first. He understands they will come first at times, and vice versa.
