White tie for groom?

I like that idea better! I felt it was nice for the groomsmen to match the bridesmaids and for the groom to match the bride. My husband wore a black bow tie though, and a black tux and white shirt (first picture). Then my brother who was also our officiant actually did a white bow tie. (We wanted them to be different from each other but both in neutral colors, and husband preferred the black tie look and brother preferred white so it worked out). I did feel like especially for the bride and groom photos (the ones that don’t have bridal party in them) it looked way better to have us both in all black and white rather than him having a colored tie. That’s just my preference though!

We got light grey tuxedos my fh is wearing white
best man and groomsman are wearing white with ice blue ties and vest and my bridesmaids are wearing ice blue and our tablecloths are ice blue and white to match the theme

I think white would be okay! Of course, the final decision is FH's

I feel like this decision is based on you and your FHs personal preference.

Personally, I would want the groom’s tie to match my dress with either white or black tie for photos where it is just the two of us! I think it would look better in photos.

I like in Gen’s photo how she and her husband are black/white and then when you have the entire wedding party, you can see the correlation between the groomsmen and bridesmaids!

Have you spoken with your FH about what he would prefer?

Thanks for the opinions! We looked through some more pictures and decided we liked the white tie to match my dress. FH will have a white tie and groomsmen will have teal!
