i originally wanted an ivory dress because i didnt want anyone saying anything rude about me wearing a white dress because 1. i was married before and divorced the worthless first husband (when we were married i wore a purple sundress it was a court house wedding) and 2. my fiance and i have 2 kids...

I originally wanted an ivory dress because i didnt want anyone saying anything rude about me wearing a white dress because 1. i was married before and divorced the worthless first husband (when we were married i wore a purple sundress it was a court house wedding) and 2. my fiance and i have 2 kids together and have been together for almost 5 years. and 3. the wedding is after labor day. am i still ok for the white dress that i already bought or should i just tell people to kiss off if the have a problem with me wearing white (which i will tell someone off)

Wear your dress. I doubt anyone would say anything these days. Plus, white dresses are just a fashion trend anyways.

I'm probably the farthest thing possible from a virgin, and my dress is white.

Its about you and your future husband. What will make the two of you happy on YOUR day? If you love the dress, keep it. Anyone who says otherwise is a judgemental douchenozzel.

I'm a traditionalist and not wearing white. But I don't think it really matters anymore in general.

If Jessa Duggar- who had her first kiss on her wedding day- can wear a blush gown, I'm pretty sure you can wear a white one! lol

And that Labor Day rule is so old fashioned. Again it's 2015. Wear your white dress!

As Miss Manners says, "The color of the dress is not an advertisement about what it contains". Wear whatever you want.

I think this is a very old school way of thinking. You wear whatever makes you happy and you rock it and anyone who has anything to say can stfu.

Some shades of ivory look white, you could just tell them it is ivory and to "kiss off!" If they are going to be that judgmental then maybe they should not have attended. It's about love not the dress color. Good luck!!
