So I have narrowed down my dress search to these two dresses. The first dress is the one I immediately fell in love with the moment I saw it. The price was a bit higher than I had expected, so I decided to look around to see if I loved anything a bit less extravagant as much. Well, I didn’t. LOL So we went back to the boutique this weekend so I could try her on again. I loved it just as much, if not more, than the first time! But then my sister asked if I felt the collar was more Fall than Spring. I hadn’t, but now I’m questioning it (thanks sis!🤦🏼‍♀️) So I tried on some other more “Spring-y” dresses, and really loved the second one as well. Now I’m torn! Which dress would you choose for a “modern formal” indoor Spring wedding?? (Modern in that it will be hosted at black tie level, but black tie will not be required. Fashion, food, decor and entertainment will all be more fashion forward, funky, fun than a traditional “stuffy” black tie wedding). Also, I already have a reception dress for dancing, so getting both dresses pictured is not an option.

I LOVE the first dress! The only thing that makes the second dress more fitting for the spring is the sleeve length, IMO! I love the color of the first, and I think it's very modern/formal!

Get the first dress! You are indoors so who cares about the weather outside? It looks plenty spring like to me. If anything, the neckline helps push the modern/fun/funky theme you are going with.

The second dress is pretty but definitely not as unique or fun, in my opinion.

Do #1. If you dont' I think you will always be thinking about it. And it's so unique and different!

I'd go with dress #1. That dress is really special!

My immediate reaction is #1. There is something so beautifully unique about its pattern/embellishment.

Then I questioned it, because I'm a Floridian, so to me, spring = heat and humidity, not great for long sleeves.

Then I saw you will be indoors, and this would be your ceremony dress/you will be changing into a reception dress.

So I am going with my initial gut reaction of #1.

I think you should go with your first dress! I remember your bridesmaids dresses/jumpsuit and I think it’ll play off those so beautifully! At an indoor, evening wedding, sleeves and a collar are totally fine!

If you really love the 1st one, go with that. However, the 2nd does seem more "springy" to me.

Where are you getting married? I’m in TN and either of those would work for the weather here in early spring! I don’t usually like sleeves, but #1 is gorgeous. They are both beautiful & I can see why you’re torn. But like another poster said, it’s indoors! Pick the one you love the most. Neither of these dresses screams “WINTER!” Haha

These are both amazing, but the sleeves and the back on the 2nd one fit more with "Spring"

The second dress feels more "spring" to me. Do you tend to run cold or hot? That is something I would factor in when deciding between the dresses and how they fit with your season/venue.

I LOVE the first dress. It may not be a typical “spring” dress, but as long as you love it & as long as you aren’t getting married somewhere that will be super hot in the spring then I’d say go with your gut!

Thank you so much! I actually hadn’t considered how each dress would look with the BM’s attire- and you are absolutely right, the first dress compliments them more!

Go with the first one! It’s the one you love and still love! It’s very pretty!!! I wore a long sleeve traditional Vietnamese dress for my rehearsal dinner in April and I thought it was perfect, not hot at all!

I think you should go with your gut. I think if you changed what you're getting because it's more in line with the season you might end up regretting it because you didn't love the dress as much as you did the first one.

With my dress, my heart knew it was my dress - I didn't really have much to do with the decision on a logical, mental level - it even had some details I didn't particularly want! But when I saw myself in it my body reacted before my brain and I knew it was the one.

If that first dress makes you feel like that, then it needs to be your dress - especially if you've got something to change into later!

I don't know much about dresses, to be honest LOL 😃😆.
But you should go with #1 since "The first dress is the one I immediately fell in love with the moment I saw it." This is the one.
I'm not sure why you had a second thought when your sister gave an opinion. Of course, she's entitled to it but like Rosie said: go with your gut, you won't want to have a dress regret, will you?
