I think my fiancé would like both! Originally had planned to go with the clean mikado dress and get the embellished bodysuit to go with it. The day after I tried it (they didn’t have the bodysuit) I began thinking it didn’t flatter my body up top enough, and that it wasn’t sexy enough. So I continued on, and today I found this phenomenal number. It is more expensive than the first option, but I’ve gotten a substantial raise since then. The second dress is stretchier on the hips, not stiff and bulky like mikado can be, and I just think it’s absolutely epic. Yet I am still having trouble deciding, because I do want to choose a unique stand-out dress that suits me best! 2nd pic is to show the first gown with the accessories I’d get for it. What do you all think?!? Thank you so much for helping me decide!!! You all understand how important it is!!!!
I can see why you are having a hard time deciding - they both look phenomenal on you! However, I definitely like the second one better! The details are gorgeous and it is a much more unique dress. I feel like the first one looks beautiful on you, but it's easily forgettable. The second one is a showstopper that no one is going to forget!

Thank you, I think so too! The only thing I worry about with the second one is - is it a “dress wearing the girl” type of moment? Instead of the other way around? Ahhhhh
You look gorgeous in both of them, obviously, so I don't really think you can go wrong, but you should totally get the second one. I can see why you'd pick the first one, it has a cleaner, more timeless vibe than the second one, but I have a mikado silk dress myself, and I still think you should pick the second dress - it looks like it was made for you!

Great question! We are envisioning an elegant, glamorous, romantic affair but it will also very much be party time! Our venue is a historic hotel and golf course 15 mins from the shore, with a view of the bay during our ceremony on the lawn of the hotel. We can’t wait.

For what you described, I like the first dress. It definitely feels more classic and elegant than the flowy lace dress. The design and patterns on the 2nd dress are a little busy to me. The first dress just gives a glam hotel overlooking the bay vibe!

I think you are right - and this is part of my dilemma! The first one will make me feel like a princess, but I am not sure it’s the right one for my proportions. It makes me look bottom heavy, in my opinion and I feel like I need to play up my body type and the second dress definitely does that. And it’s a lot sexier than the first. It makes it so hard to decide, I’m about to buy them both like a crazy person.

Maybe I can add silk opera gloves to the second one to class it up a bit. Lol. I am a lost cause when it comes to decision making! I appreciate your thoughtful response!

Love love love love love the 2nd one it looks so classy I think you would regret it if you don't get it
Do you mind sharing the designer (and style if you remember) of the second dress? It's absolutely stunning! You look incredible in the second dress, which one did you end up going with?

Absolutely! I feel bad for not updating this post! I went with…the FIRST dress!!! After trying on that last dress, and it was a showstopper, I went back to try the sample of the first dress on again. The moment the consultant clipped the dress on to me, I said “oh duh, I love this!” And I purchased the dress and bodysuit! I did love the second dress as well, I think a lot of that was because it fit me, but as soon as I tried the first one on again all my doubts melted away! The first one is more “me” and suits my venue and vibe. The dress and bodysuit in my size will come in June! I plan to prolly remove the bodysuit for the reception. I still need to buy the thin belt that goes with it!
As for your question!! The second dress with all the sequins and embellishment was a Demetrios dress, the owner of the shop I tried it on at told me it was a custom design for her store, and when I looked for it online I couldn’t find it! The store was Irini’s Originals in Wilmington, Delaware if you are near there at all! I hope that helps a little bit! ❤️
