Which bridesmaid / maid of honor combo

Jasmin, on November 10, 2020 at 2:31 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16
While at the dress store we decided on the purple pink dress combo (both dresses will be in my wedding colors tho) and even in the store I was indecisive. I think the ruched siding on the pink dress is throwing me off because the purple dress does not have that. When I got home I was browsing more of their dresses and I feel as tho the purple red combo (again both dresses in my wedding color) look like a better fit together. .. the maid of honor will be wearing the purple dress and my brides maids the other one. Which pair of dresses go better together ? Which bridesmaid / maid of honor combo 1

Which bridesmaid / maid of honor combo 2

I prefer the second combination. The colors are different, yet related to another.

The 2nd combination. The straps go together better. The 1st one doesn’t seem like the design goes together.

Definitely the purple/pink combination! I'm not a fan of the purple and red

For these specific shades, the purple pink combo is better because they both are jewel colors, have similar cool undertones, and are roughly similar in luminosity (brightness). The red shade is too dark and rich to go with that shade of purple. If you wanted to do purple and red you'd need a darker purple to go with it. The purple and red shown here actually clash and do not look good together IMO.

The second combo looks better at least on my screen because the fabrics look the same. In the top combo, the purple fabric looks way too shiny compared to the matteness of the red dress's fabric.

Thoes are not the shades of dresses just what they have on the model. Both dresses are going to be the shade of pink for my wedding I’m focusing on the style of dress

Oh gotcha! I think a lot of people are confused.

In terms of style, I think you can mix and match any of the above. If the fabric and silhouettes are similar, I don't think the neckline matters all that much. I'd go with whatever your MOH/maids are most comfortable with. Maybe let your MOH get first pick and then have your bridesmaids vote on which one of the remaining two they all want to wear.

I personally don't like the purple dress at all. So I would probably do the red style dress and oi k style dress together. The other option would be to let the girls pick which styles they like best.

Well if she likes it then that's all that matters. I personally just don't like.

I like the second grouping better! The tops make more sense and coordinate better since both have straps that touch the neckline.

So personally I like the style of the fuchsia dress. That’s sexy!! The other style (red) is okay... not bad.... just not as sexy lol

I think both necklines work well together!! Have your bridesmaids tried them on or expressed a preference for either style?

Hey Jasmin! Good news is they are both gorgeous so you can't go wrong but I totally see what your'e saying and agree that the fuchsia doesn't match the clean structure and lines of the MOH dress style. If that's super important to you then def switch. BUT the fuchsia style has perks like being bra-friendly and rouching is usually a figure-flattering detail so could be a winner for more body shapes. But honestly, both are lovely! And in a pale pink a little ruffle/texture might be a nice mix-up. Wait... am I changing my mind now? I think I'm on team fuchsia now lol. Good luck!

Yes girl everybody was team fuchsia lol we decided to keep it that way. I’m not very good at imagining dresses in different colors I’m very visual but once both dresses are the same color I’m sure they’ll look beautiful together !
