Which bridesmaid dress is best?

Rosalie, on December 5, 2022 at 11:02 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17

I'm having a very formal ceremony and I'm struggling to decide which dress would look best with my dress. These are relatively similar, but they are slightly different. I need some advice on which would compliment my dress the best.

Which bridesmaid dress is best? 1

Which bridesmaid dress is best? 2

Which bridesmaid dress is best? 3

Which bridesmaid dress is best? 4

Obviously the white one is mine. I haven't made any decisions yet, I want you guy's opinion first.

While I understand you are having a formal wedding, these dresses look extremely expensive. I think you need to talk to your bridesmaids first and find out what their budget is unless you plan on planning for their dresses. Otherwise I would worry such formal dresses are going to be too expensive.

    Agree with Veronica.

On a separate note, I see one of the potential dresses has a watermark for the site DHGate. Beware of this company as I think they’re on that scam company list another user once posted on here. Those usually have problems such as poor quality, unreliable and extremely slow shipping, or product not even being as shown/described.

Oh, yeah. I've talked with them about pricing. Most of them can cover it just fine. The ones who can't, I'll pay for them. The money situation is fine, I'm just wondering what dress would look best.

These are not websites I'm ordering from, just basic styles I picked out.

As long as your bridesmaids can afford the options and the dress would be coming from reputable places, I'd go with the first one. The other two have really big skirts, which might take away from yours and could be difficult for your bridesmaids to maneuver in.

I personally like the first style best, but your bridesmaids would be the best people to ask, since they'd be the ones wearing the dresses.

Color wise I don't like any of them, but I'm also not a fan of yellow/gold. Style wise I like the first and second the best.

I would first ask your bridesmaids the price range they can afford. Any beading will cost more, unless it's actually a glue on. I like the first as it's most mature and versatile. The others are more polarizing as not everyone likes a princess or strapless look. You could also look into styles that compliment your own gown like long sleeves, or v-neck sheaths. Just because your dress has beading and a train, doesn't mean your attendants should match. There are many bridesmaid dresses with classic style and elevated fabric that fit a formal setting. Long gowns tend to be more formal than short. Good luck.

I like 3 because it doesn't compete in length.

I like the champagne color of the first one! The other options might make them look washed out, so my vote is for 1.

I think the first two look kind of matronly, which is very much not the vibe of your wedding dress. I think number 3 (of those options) is the only choice that wouldn't look silly.

Also, pay for all your girls dresses or none of them, it's kind of insulting to cover it for some and not others.

I like the first one best as well. So formal and elegant. I assume this is a black tie (or even white tie!) event?

Yup. I'm really into that formal look for weddings. The first one is pretty great. I'm going for something like that one, most people said that looks best.

Assuming money isn't an issue, I prefer the first one because it's a more neutral color. The brighter gold won't look good on everyone. If possible, you may want them to try it on to make sure it's not difficult to walk or dance in
