Where to start planning for engagement Party?!

Hi Ladies!!! We just decided to have an engagement party on April 23, 2022!! Where should I just planning?? Any game suggestions?? Are we suppose to keep the same theme as the wedding to the engagement part?! People that are invited are they expecting a save date??? HELP?! Ive never been too one.. We recently moved to a new city ( Salt Lake City) Which we love!!! Alot of friends invited are in SLC so we know they will be there but they arent friends we've known for awhile & we are having it there!! Any suggestions... does an engagement party invite mean they are coming to the wedding?1

Following for advice and tips!

My Fiancé and I are planning an engagement party for March 13, 2022 and I would love suggestions as well. We started with choosing our date, guest list and location (we’re having it at home in our back yard) we are also planning to play a few games that we found on Etsy and doing a Fajita/Taco bar. I have read that anyone that is invited to the engagement party or any pre-wedding gatherings should also be invited to the wedding.

Everyone invited to any pre-wedding event should be invited to the wedding itself, which includes engagement parties. Every engagement party I've ever been to has been a very casual house party with people just mingling with food (like a BBQ or whatever) and drinks.

Thank you Hannah!! That sounds perfect the type of party we are looking for where people just relax drink play some games & have a great time! Looks like some of our newer friends will be invited to our wedding!! I appreciate the advice girl!
