Where to seat the DJ for the meal?

I know that we are expected to provide a meal for our vendors; I have no problem with that. I am planning on doing a seating chart and am wondering if I need to assign seats/a table for the vendors. I hadn't even thought of that before yesterday! What did you do/are you doing?

    We provided a meal for our vendors but not specific seats. I believe the DJ and assistant ate at their booth though, because they were playing music during dinner. I am not sure where the photographer's sat - ask your venue what they usually do! Mine offered to put a table for them upstairs, but I nixed that since they aren't servants that should be out of the view of us or anything.

    Our DJ just sat at his booth, which was off to the side. I'm not sure where our photographer sat and eat, possible at a table with extra seats.

    To add to your question, do people just seat all their vendors at the same table? I'm going to have quite a few I'm thinking. Depends. Not sure how may yet.

    I'm seating my 2 photographers and 2 videographers at one table, all others vendors will be working or done

    I just assumed they ate at their booth (DJ)!

    My first wedding thats what the DJ did. All the other vendors were working! I'm assuming this will be the case this time also!

    I am having a vendor table. My photographer, 2 photo booth personnel, 2 DJs (assuming they want to sit at a real table) and the 2 ladies running the venue and giving tours will sit and eat there.

    Most of the time the DJ will be eating at his booth or dj station whatever you want to call it but as for your photographer/videographer they will need a seat at a table.

    I am going to get another sweetheart table that will sit 4-5 people so that any of my vendors can sit and eat as they go. We will have a DJ & emcee, so they can take turns. I have one photographer, the photo booth operator, the videographer, and my coordinator. I don't want them to feel like they have to eat at their booths and such. I want them to be able to be comfortable too. Like my photographer, she will be working 12+ hours that day, I want her to be able to sit and take an actual break while we're eating...I don't want pictures of us eating, so she is welcome to her break then too.

    My vendors ate in the back room i guess? i honestly have no idea. my venue just took care of it. but i know they didn't seat and eat in the reception room

    I had my vendors sit at their own table - 5 band members, 2 photographers and the photo station assistant Worked out fine.

    Wherever you sit your photographers, ask your venue to serve THEM first before all the guests, so that they'll be ready to back in action when everyone else is.
