I'm thinking of having just a small (like, 8 inch round, single tier) cutting cake to do the whole cutting ceremony, and then serving sheet cake from the kitchen. We won't have a dessert table or anything, and it seems silly to me to put such a small cake on a "cake table". We are going to do a king's table for the "head table", so I was thinking of just putting the cutting cake in front of our seats at the table, in lieu of a centerpeice. Thoughts? Other ideas for the location of this cutting cake?
