Where to print 2.5x3.5 prints- photographers, please help!

Danielle, on August 15, 2010 at 11:38 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

So we'd like to add a small picture at the back of our programs. We have a print authorization to use any company to print our pics, but I'd like to use a company that will print good quality pics. Photographers (or others), what labs do you like for printing pics that I can order this size from?

That is not a typical size for prints so my advice would be to print 4x6 and cut down. As for labs adorama.com has good quality prints.

The picture is from our engagement picture and frames the entire space...I wouldn't be able to cut down without removing our heads Smiley smile

Do you have a printer with scanner? or go to most any store and use one of the picture makers, they come out really nice.

That is an odd size. If you have reprinting rights I'd be happy to help you with this at no charge if your photographer will not help you. It only takes a few seconds in Photoshop if you know what you are doing! PM me if you'd like help.

Danielle - you're in the Chicago area correct? Try a Ritz/Wolf Camera, they tend to be knowledgeable about what they print and are willing to work with you to get the sizing right. I used to work at one, but can't remember their standard sizing for wallets.

Thanks Justine! I didn't think to try Wolf/Ritz...there's one a few blocks over from my office, I'll head there tomorrow! Thanks!

Mark, their prices are great! I'm sure that'll beat what wolf can print. I'll try a set and see how the quality is. Thanks guys!

You could just print the photo directly on the programs and skip paying the extra for actual photo prints. Digital printers have capabilities that work beautifully with photographs. You might also look at stylart, they do amazing things with photos.

Ahhh, Memoir Studio beat me to it!! www.mpix.com does that size as a "wallet" size. You are paying for a "sheet" which is 4 prints and the prices start at .70 when you order 1-10 sheets (4-40 prints). 11 prints cost .50 a sheet. I advise that you pay additional for the Luster Coating (matte, not glossy). It really makes the photos look more professional, more finished.
