Where to go with the best all inclusive resort?

Em10115, on February 2, 2018 at 4:46 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 30
Hello my fiance and I want to do an all inclusive resort somewhere, but we have no idea where!! Has anyone been somewhere they absolutely loved?? Or does anyone have any places of where to avoid if they had a bad experience? I know to check reviews and stuff of the hotels once we decide on a location, but I don't even know where we even want to go to even check reviews. Anyways, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Tia!

What time of the year are you going? We had an amazing time at a Viva Wyndham in the Bahamas and had perfect weather even though it was September (hurricane season). Great food/drinks and we went on tons of local excursions through the resort. The beach was like a dream- white sand and crystal clear water.
We stayed at Blue Bay Villas in Puerto Plata this past April and it wasn’t great. Food was average, there wasn’t much to do on the resort, the local shops were kind of sketchy, and even the beach was a little grimy. It had good reviews online, but it definitely didn’t live up to them.
Just from my personal experience, the Bahamas was incredible and we definitely plan on going back again someday. I wouldn’t recommend risking it during hurricane season, though. We got lucky but I think that was probably rare.

Excellence Resorts are amazing!! Adults only, no reservations required, liquor and mini bar in room, lots of entertainment, or plenty of relaxation.
Secrets resorts are also very nice.
Resorts located Mexico, Punta Cana, Jamaica.

We went to an all inclusive in ARuba for vacation and it was amazing .. the weather is always perfect anytime of the year- it’s below the hurricane belt or something, and the island itself is super safe

We are going to the Valentin Imperial in Riviera Maya, Mexico. It is adults only and all-inclusive! While my FH and I have never been my best friend /BM has gone 5 times (honeymoon and anniversary trips), her parents have gone twice, and FH’s aunt and uncle will be going for the 3rd time in May! Look at cheapcaribbean.com to get a great deal. Also look into what “upgrades” are really worth it to you guys. We chose not to get the “honeymoon package” but did upgrade or room to the golden superior suite. At that level we get access to an additional pool which means that there are fewer people to fight for lounge chairs. We are also going to book massages. Both of those are included in the package but this way is cheaper.

We booked or honeymoon through Costco travel to an all inclusive couples resort in Negril Jamaica. I spent months looking at various resorts, comparing pricing with what's included. Then searching the area, looked up the beach etc. this was the best one I found! Miles of a private beach. Jet skis, scuba diving, daily activities, top shelf liquor and premium meat cuts all included. I found that there were cheaper all inclusives but they didn't have as many activities and had upcharges for alcohol/meat upgrades. We paid around 4,600 to upgrade our room to the suite but was listed at 4,200 for our package. This included the flight from Phoenix and airport transfer. Costco had some amazing packages!

Hi, I just wanted to share my experience with you on this. While I’m a bride getting married in September, I am also travel agent. I would suggest you look at any RIU property. They are all over and are a great option as an all-inclusive. Hope that helps. Congratulations!!!

Look at the RIU in Aruba. I’ve sent many of my clients there and they loved it. An all-inclusive is a great option in Aruba because it’s so expensive there. Congratulations!!

Hi! We’re getting married this coming March and are going to Secrets Silversands in Mexico. We booked through a travel agent (which I def recommend) so she got us some awesome deals and highly recommends this resort for honeymoons. It’s an all-inclusive with all of the bells and whistles.

We booked secrets Cap Cana in the Dominican our travel agent was very very helpful we research a list of places and did a good bit of homework and talked to her also. I have some friends that have visited there and was able to go off their recommendations on some things that they wished they would have booked.

I stayed at the riu in ARuba and LOVED every second of it .. a friend of mine stayed for her honeymoon and HATED it, which I can see.. it’s not super personal or intimate and they don’t offer very nice suites.. also being it’s a high rise I felt it was more hotel-ish then resorts.. which I liked for vacation but not necessarily for a honeymoon

So I stayed at the riu for vacation and I loved it.. you just have to keep in mind the adult only side is more hotel-ish and partying then honeymoon like in my eyes.. and the riu palace ( other side form adults ) is all families so a lot of kids !!.. there are many other resorts to look at though! ARuba is a perfect place if you want to enjoy yourself and feel safe.. FH and I had no problems hoping in taxes or walking around whether at night or during the day, I never felt unsafe .

Yeah I would agree with the Aruba assessment. There are very limited options and slim pickings from an all-inclusive perspective in a place like Aruba where it’s so expensive. That’s unfortunately the trade off though.

The Rui Antilles in Aruba is adult only, but you have to make reservations for dinner, which has to be done far enough in advance to get in, or your stuck at the buffet every night. It's best to go on your own to Aruba without all inclusive, there's just so much to do off property, instead of being stuck in one place.
If your budget allows look at Secrets Maroma Beach in Mexico, Secrets Akumal, or Excellence Playa Mujeres
