Where to find giant martini and wine glasses!?

Jenna, on November 28, 2012 at 1:03 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 15

I am having a cocktail reception for my March wedding and since I really did not want to go with a traditional floral centerpiece, I thought it would be a great idea to decorate over-sized martini and wine glasses for the centerpieces! I have seen pictures of other people that have done this so I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions on where I can find these and buy enough for all the tables! Mostly places seem to have them at a higher cost than I would want to pay for buy multiples of them... Any advice would be wonderful!!

I've seen them at Michaels and at Wal Mart, but even there they're kinda expensive. Try save-on-crafts or even Amazon. Not sure how much you're wanting to spend, but to get the large size ones is gonna cost a bit.

I was going to say the same thing The Reenski did, Michaels.

Future Mrs. Day, Did you get the glass ones from party city or the plastic? I was thinking of getting the plastic ones since they are much more affordable, I'm just afraid of the plastic being considered tacky.

    Try Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

Michaels or Hobby Lobby. You may have to obsessively check their ads, but sometimes their glass items go on sale for 40-50% off. If you really live near one you could go everyday and buy one with their 40% off coupon. They still won't be super cheap. You may have to look up plastic ones for a better price.

I have seen them at good will for under 5 dollars. I know it is hit or miss but it seems since I am not wanting them I keep seeing them.

Getting mine at Hobby Lobby .... they have a 50% off glass sale which is on an every 3 week rotation so if they're not on sale now, they will be shortly

And if you need it sooner, pull out your smart phone and look up the app ... there is typically a 40% off one non-sale item so you can use that on non-sale weeks

Check into renting the vases before you lay out the cash to buy them!
