Where to find chiffon belt/sash??

C & S, on February 22, 2015 at 9:58 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

I really want a chiffon sash like this so I can tie a bow in the back. My dress doesn't come with one. Anyone know of a specific site or store that sells them?

Thanks!

Since you don't want rhinestones, can you just go to a fabric store and get them to cut you a piece?

@Melanie That may be my only option, I just don't want it to look unfinished!

I would just ask your seamstress.

Maybe you can ask the place you bought your dress so that you can have the exact same fabric. It might be hard to find the same fabric and color from a fabric store. Maybe if you need to hem your dress you can use the fabric you cut off.

I've talked to the store, they don't have any sashes like that, and it will take too long to order the fabric before the wedding. I do need to get it hemmed, but only off the front and I don't know if that will be enough fabric, but I will see! Thanks!

A hem probably won't be able to provide enough fabric, but if you can find a color you like at a fabric store, I'm sure your seamstress would be willing to sew it into a sash for you (as long as you're willing to pay her).

Otherwise, a lot of dancewear stores will have chiffon sashes, though they may be a bit wider than what you need.
