Where to after party? Portland

Soon to be Mrs. Z, on July 23, 2013 at 4:40 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 5

Seems like I have been searching for the prefect place to after party since the wedding ends at 10 and the only thing on our plans for the night is to live it up with our friends!

Our hotel is in bridgeport we wouldnt mind taking a taxi somewhere for the right bar! any recommendations would be amazing.

Hmmm...there's lots of places downtown but I'm not familiar with any bars around bridgeport.

Oh boy! In Portland you're bound to find something! All depends on what type of "bar" you're looking for.

Near bridgeport is a western bar called "Bushwackers". If you're into country western, definitely A LOT of fun! But the only dance/bar I know of in the area.

Downtown Portland is a more upscale bar called the Couture Ultra Lounge. It is a nicer bar/dance club. We went once and my FI was wearing a polo and wasn't allowed in. We were told button down only. LOL. .

    Holocene is another good one.

There are actually several within a 3 block radius of the Courture Ultra Lounge. Smiley smile Good luck!

A friend had their reception in the upstairs of Kell's, and afterwards we did a pub-crawl to various bars within walking distance. He's actually a coworker, but he's in a meeting now. When he's out, I'll ask him what bars we went to. I've forgotten... (I don't really like downtown...)

I like Jacklyn's idea of Bushwackers if you're into country music and line-dancing. Sometimes they will throw in a couple popular pop songs towards the end of the night when the crowd changes to a bit younger. A lot of people that go there know what they're doing on the dance floor, but if you have a big enough group you should be fine even if you don't know the dances.

OK, we went to Thirsty Lion (to watch the Beaver game), then Dirty, then another bar that no one can remember haha

Coworker suggested Dixie's (sister bar of Duke's country bar)

    Good luck!!
