Where do you hide your dress?

I hung it on the back of the guest room door, in its opaque garment bag. My husband knew it was important to me that he not see it so I wasn’t worried about snooping.

Mine is at my parent's houseI am staying there the night before to help build suspence

I have mine at my mother's place.

I see most people are keeping the dress out of sight that way. but it's not like seeing your dress beforehand would be the end of the world.

Not an issue here. FH doesn't even want to see the bag. He is ok with the petticoat since I made that giant white caterpillar looking thing but it is in a closet that he won't even go open.


I used over 100 yards of 12" strips of crinoline. So glad it turned out the way I needed. I only need to ribbon on the edges for a professional finish.

I hung a nail high up in my walk in closet and kept the door shut! Lol

Hi bride to be I've went dress shopping two times without my bridesmaids I haven't found the dress yet that I'm going to walk down the aisle in but when I do I think I'll keep my wedding dress at my mom's house. I know she won't be trying it on cuz she doesn't like my style but I always tell her it's my wedding day I'm aware of what I want because I already know she's not really going to approve of the dress but in reality I don't need her approval.

OMG. That's good your mom won't try it on. That was not a concern in mind in starting this thread, just keeping it out of view of fiancés. One bride had her dress at her future MIL who then apparently tried on her gown as well as her FSIL. I guess that is a benefit of having a different style.
