Where do the Flower Girls / Ring Bearers /ushers go after walking?

Keshia, on August 6, 2019 at 8:05 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 5

We're having two ring bearers (our nephews; 1 & 2.5 years old) and 3 flower girls - 2 nieces (7 & 9) and our daughter (9). We're also having our 2 older boys walking my mom and step-mom, and 2 ushers (my brother and a close friend) walking our grandma's down the aisle.

Both ring bearer's mom is a bridesmaid, and their dads are an usher and a groomsman. We also are going to want our three kids easily accessible, as we're going to be doing a unity ceremony.

My question is this: where does everyone go when they're done walking?

Your kids in first row with grandparents then the the others in the second row. That what I would do.

    Hey Keshia!

As Colleen mentioned, your own children should sit in the front row with their grandparents. That will also make them close to you when it comes time for the unity ceremony.

The other children can then sit in the second row unless their parents are sitting elsewhere. The small children will probably want to sit with people that they are happy and comfortable with if their parents won’t be sitting with the rest of the guests.

I went to a wedding last weekend and the bride had a kids area up front that had books and toys. If they played the entire time but she didn’t care and neither did I. Both of their parents were in the wedding and no grandparents were their either. One of them even fell asleep. It’s really up to you what your wanting.

We plan on having the kids join their parents/grandparents if need be. They're a little bit older (9, 5, and 4), so if they want to stand the whole time that's fine. If they want to sit down, I'm fine with that as well.

So I have only been to a wedding with one flower girl max and she stood up at the end of the bridesmaids. The flower girls all seem old enough to stand up front if they want to, but otherwise they can just go be seated.
