I've looked at David's Bridal but want to see more options! I just don't know where to look. I've seen so many online that I like but I don't want to buy a dress without trying it on first. Also, I really don't want to spend more than $500-600 so it kind of limits where I can look. Where did y'all...

If you're a vintage fanatic (like me) try Etsy. I searched for like 3-4 hours a week for a month, until I was ready to go ahead and buy, but I bought a beautiful vintage gown that fits me 99% perfectly for about $300 including shipping and I'm so in love with it. I have seamstress skills, so it helps to be confident that if there are any issues, I can fix them. You want to read the listing carefully and beware of any condition issues. Ask the seller questions to ease your mind before you buy. Tears along seams are usually fixable, I wouldn't get anything with holes or stains and read the measurements carefully and DO NOT gamble with buying something "just a smidge" too small.

Overstock has some wedding dresses under $200 and they are pretty good with returns. I don't know their return policy specifically for wedding dresses.

I got mine for $650 (including shipping) at a local bridal boutique. I was firm with my price, and they were able to accommodate me. It's definitely worth calling about.

Azazie has both bridesmaid dresses and a few wedding gowns. Most I believe we're under 400.

Modcloth and asos also have some non-traditional dresses

Bluevelvetvintage has some stunning vintage styles (that happen to all be on sale right now)

And unique-vintage has a good selection too

Try a local salon. Google will usually have reviews available when you search.

Davids Bridal is probably going to be the best option, they have a ton of beautiful dresses on sale for $499 right now....

Demetrios also has beautiful dresses and they are having their sample sale next week! Up to 75% off.

I checked out a bridal consignment shop and found one I liked. But I ended up going to a local small bridal boutique and buying my dress off the rack for half the original price! Watch for sales, trunk shows and other types of events at local shops. You can find some good deals!

I went to BHLDN to try on dresses and had a wonderful experience. I waited a few months and found out the dress I had my eye on was on sale (went from $1200 to $750) and I purchased it right away.

Google bridal shops in your area. Also on the other wedding app they send you emails about sample sales. I got a $1,800 dress on sale for $900 . (My budget was also $1,500) I for one am not a fan of davids bridal. To me it looks too generic and simple but that's just me

Where are you located? I'm in the NYC/NJ area, found mine at a shop in NYC of sample sizes, Glamour Closet. They were super clean, nice and was a great experience. My budget was $1500 and I ended up finding my dress for $650!

Thank you all for your responses!! I'm in Atlanta, GA and there is a BHLDN here so I think I'll have to look there! And it's a big city so I'm sure there are many small boutiques like you all mentioned. Thank y'all for your suggestions!

Davids bridal! I made sure to tell them my price range and told them I'd go up above $400 only if I couldn't find what I wanted for that price and I'd only go up about $100. I ended up spending $541. I wasn't sure about it so I made a post (buyers regret) but I got so much positive feedback !

I went to a small bridal salon! Don't feel pressured to buy the same day wherever you go. I was so happy that my consultant wasn't pushy and she understood that I had to come back with a few others to make my final decision.
