Where are/did you get ready for your wedding?

I was planning to get ready with my bridesmaids at the hotel in a big suite.. but my mom wants me to get ready at her house (the house I grew up in). Both are not far from the church, so distance isn't an issue... I think my mom wants the sentimental factor/pics of me getting ready in the house.. I...

I was planning to get ready with my bridesmaids at the hotel in a big suite.. but my mom wants me to get ready at her house (the house I grew up in). Both are not far from the church, so distance isn't an issue... I think my mom wants the sentimental factor/pics of me getting ready in the house.. I just wanted a nice big hotel room..

    Hotel bridal suite, it's free, huge, and my mom does not have to stress about cleaning it Smiley winking

    I got ready at the hotel suite even though the hotel and church are within a mile of my house. It was nice to be in an area with all my girls.

    P.S. if you get ready in a hotel you can schedule the maids to come clean before the photographer arrives so that everything looks nice in pictures Smiley smile

    If your moms house can accommodate you and your bridesmaids I would vote to get ready there. If she is wanting just you to get ready there then you have to decide if getting ready with your bridesmaids is more important or spending that moment with your mom.

    Our venue had a room where I got dressed. the BP all came already dressed.

    Our venue is also a hotel, so the girls got ready in our honeymoon suite, while the guys got ready in one of the GM's suites. Smiley smile We had the rooms the night before, and the wedding night, so we didn't have to worry about where our stuff had to be, or check-in/out times

    Well it depends on you, I'm getting dress at the venue because its a bigger room and everyone is getting dress the hotel
