Where are you getting dressed on your wedding day?

My venue has a bridal suite but since I (not-so-brilliantly) decided to have a brunch reception with an 11:30 am ceremony, we can't get into the bridal suite as early as we need to get started with hair and makeup. So, I'll be staying at a hotel 8 minutes away the night before, and we'll get ready there. Then the bridesmaids and I will be doing photos at the hotel too before we head over to the venue. I just hope I can get out of the car and into the bridal suite without anyone seeing me, since I will be fully dressed when I arrive.

We are getting ready at the hotel (where our reception will be), which is about 30 mins from our ceremony location. Haven't totally decided on a location for pictures yet, but likely somewhere near the ceremony location. Then we end up back at the hotel for the reception.

At home. Our ceremony/reception venue is a 3 minute drive from our house and we're doing photos before everything (locally around town) so we can just jump into the party without interruption.

I got ready at a hotel suite 5 miles away until we were allowed in our bridal suite 2 hours before start time.

Getting ready at my moms in the morning then our bridal suite at the venue where we will be taking pictures, having the ceremony, and the reception.

Our venue has a bridal suite snd grooms suite. I'll be there all day he'll come about 3 hours before start time. It's a couple steps to the ceremony and reception. I'm usually late and a stress case so this is super convenient for me!

I'm staying (no groom) at a hotel the night before the wedding, so most likely the hotel. My venue does have a bridal suite but I'm not sure how long before the actual wedding I can get in there... so I guess it really depends on that!

Our reception and ceremony are at the same place. I will be staying the night at my house and shower prep and stuff at home. I will have my hair and make up done at the Venue and I will slip into my wedding gown just before the ceremony and they will take me to the first hole in a golf cart.

Hotel suite, then bridal suite at venue. I will be getting my hair and makeup done at the hotel and putting the dress on at the venue.

FMIL house only cause FH doesn't want to see me day of so me and kids have to be up and out of house by 7am I don't sleep well away from home. Ceremony and reception at the same place 2 miles away. We are doing pictures at the same place. Brother will pick me up 20 minutes before the ceremony and we will hang outside in the back until it's time to walk.

A suite at the hotel, and the whole venue is right there at the same place.

@Nikki - I am SUPER jealous of your bridal suite!! It's gorgeous and so perfect!!!

This was an annoying planning speed bump for me - the main hotel on the property doesn't have any large suites, but conveniently they do have super expensive 4-room villas with a 3 night minimum stay that they recommend - how helpful

We rented suites at the hotel our reception is being held at. The church our ceremony is taking place at is about 8 to 10 minutes away.

First look pictures are 45 minutes away (approximately 27 miles)

Ceremony is 4.5 miles from hotel.

Reception is at the same place as ceremony.

Girls are getting ready at my parents house, Guys getting ready at a neighbors house down the street. Its about 7 minutes from the church and 30 minutes from the reception.

At my parents (like 10 minutes from ceremony site). It has lots of space and I thought I'd feel more comfortable/it'd be less planning there than in a hotel room.

We have everything at one location.

We have a Bridal Suite for the ladies. A regular suite for the fellas on another floor.

I was lucky I found an old cottage that is 7 bedrooms a minute from the venue! We are doing my pics and the bridesmaid pics there and after the wedding all bridal party at the venue

Hair and makeup are at the salon which is about 20 minutes from the venue, then we are getting dressed in the bridal suite at the venue and going straight into the first look which is on site of the ceremony and reception.

A hotel suite literally 3-5 minutes from the ceremony/reception site. Pictures will be taken at both locations.
