I'm getting married in May and I just sent mine out last week! We have family and friends coming outside of the US. I wanted to send them sooner but there was a postage issue, glad to finally get them out!!!

    Congrats!!

I am going to send mine asap as well, once we have our venue booked. (Fingers crossed for this weekend)

We are planning a Friday wedding in September 2023, so I want to give as much notice as possible to friends and family. Its leaf peeping season in Maine during that time, so I want everyone to book their hotels asap!

    I don't they will though....

Send a year for out of town people and 7-8 months ahead for in town people.

About November or December you should send out save the date cards, especially for out of town guests. It's on the planning tab under your checklist.

I’m getting married September 2023 so I am doing like February. I don’t want them getting lost among all the holiday cards so wanted to leave some time between.

I have a semi-destination wedding - out of state for some and at least 1.5 hour drive for everyone else. Im planning to send Save Dates in November for my out of state guests and in January for my local guests. Sending invites in April with RSVP by July. It’s so hard to wait! I already have my save dates and invites!! Lol

I think this is what I was looking for in a response😅 I just really want to give people a heads up so they can go. It’s all people that are super important to my fiancé and I.

At that point I personally would only send out invitations with RSVP cards but that’s just me. I’m also super young so I don’t know how reliable my advice is.

My wedding is in September 2023 and we are preparing to send our Save the Dates out next week! The majority of our guests are coming from out-of-state and we are trying to give them plenty of time to book hotels and flights. I think these days with modern technology, most people will put your wedding date in their calendar on their phone or computer, so sending it out early doesn't have as much risk of people forgetting about it. Plus, your guests love you and are more than likely really looking forward to coming!

This is good advice. If it's a destination wedding maybe send a bit earlier.

I am getting married 9/15 too! I felt like since our wedding is on a Friday we should send them before the New Year incase people have to put their time off requests in at the beginning of the year!
