I want to give more than enough time so everybody has enough time to make arrangements, and so no one will say that we didn’t give them enough warning time. I was considering sending them out in early/mid May? Then invitations in late July? Please help!

Date twins! I am doing the same - I didn't think that when I/we picked the date over 1.5 years ago, it would be so popular! Definitely made me make decisions quicker and get things on the books! I'm waiting to get our engagement pictures back and then sending save the dates!

Do you have most of the needed things booked?

Exactly!!! We wanted to get married in October and it just happened to be the only date that worked for us but its a cool number date for sure. We're making our hashtag #10of10kindoflove because our names are too weird to do anything with. lol I have everything but the hair/makeup artists and the baker figured out. We just got our engagements back and I'm waiting on FMIL to get me addresses so I can mail them outSmiley smile What about you?

Yeah I agree! We picked it because it's easy to remember and I have a horrible memory when it comes to dates lol. Our hashtag is #FeelinGerd because his last name is Gerding and I'm hoping to feel good on our wedding day lol. I love your hashtag though!

We have everything booked pretty much! I just bought my dress in September, and then we booked our baker a couple weeks ago. Plus I just booked the hair and makeup a few weeks ago too Smiley smile We tried to get everything booked early so we don't have to stress but now we don't have a whole lot to do after sending the Save the Dates until it gets closer! Smiley ups

I would send them earlier than that. Our wedding is next October and we are sending our save the dates out in March almost 8 months out. It gives them plenty of notice to save up money, get plane tickets, hotels etc. I think more than 6 months out is better especially to come from out of state.

I would send the STD a little earlier before invitations. Maybe like February/march and then invites in July. We had the same issue. We live in NY (he is from here, as is his family) I am from IL. We decided on a venue in PA. so everyone will be traveling. Our wedding is in November and we sent out save the dates in early April. I think the usual suggestion is about 6-9 months prior for STD. We sent out invitations in August.
