When to schedule food tasting?

We have already had 2 tastings. One was in March. She talked a good game--but the food was absolutely cheap and tasteless and we definitely will not use her company. The second one went great--and though we had to pay $15 per person just for the tasting, she prepared an entire meal! We left absolutely stuffed and packing enough food for the next day! Today, we are having a third tasting at the hotel we are tentatively considering for an all-inclusive reception. The price is excellent! At that point, it will be between the two venues we're considering as to which caterer we go with, since the hotel venue requires that you use their caterer.

I recommend that you do your tastings as early as you can so you can lock in your caterer for that date and put that item behind you.

Our venue is having a tasting July 15th for all the October weddings. That way there will be alllllll the hot apps they offer to try in addition to the meal choices. I am so excited for the food tasting. I'mma eat all the scallops wrapped in bacon.

I'd schedule it now, for a date closer to the wedding. That way any seasonal offerings will be available.
