When to have my shellac manicure done?

Monica SC, on September 28, 2015 at 2:35 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

My wedding is on a Saturday, and I am off the two days prior to that. Will I be OK if I have my shellac manicure done 2-3 days prior to the wedding? Never had one done before, but I hear they last a good long while. Any advice is appreciated. I am calling to make my appointment later this afternoon. This is a high $ salon that I have never visited before, but I am using them because my FMIL gave me a gift card for Christmas that expires at the end of October,.

Yes that is perfectly fine, nothing should happen to them.

It'll still look great if you get it done a few days ahead of time. I would just recommend wearing gloves if you do any cleaning and just be aware of your hands because the shellac can get scratched/scuffed and when that happens it drives me nuts if I have an important event!

I had mine done on Thursday before the wedding and they were fine all the way through Disney. My first chip was 2 days ago. I am getting them off today.

It should not be a problem, and any decent salon will touch them up if you get a chip after just a day or two. Especially if you tell them you are a bride!

Yes that is totally fine! My gel manicures last forever (like 3 weeks no chipping), but they will start to grow out. Not after 2-3 days though Smiley smile

Mine usually look 100% for a week and a few days. After a week and a half they look a little out grown but still super nice. Any time over 2 weeks is the time they tend to chip or crack.

I only get gel! I loveeee it!

Due to timing, I'll probably have to get them done the weekend before my Friday wedding. They'll be fine.

I had mine done Sept 10th, and took it off today. They were good until a couple days ago.
